Conference in London in April to bust the myths and present the science of business traveller wellbeing –
The Business Travel Network, in partnership with leading travel management company Amber Road, today announces the Business Travel Wellbeing Conference – the first ever event dedicated to wellbeing in the business travel sector.
The Conference, which will take place in London on 9th April, has been created to provide a complete overview of all the elements of business traveller wellbeing that need to be addressed to ensure employee welfare and employer duty of care.
This one day conference will encompass a range of presentations from a variety of experts, with topics covered including: sleep and jetlag, mental health and stress, diet and gut health, healthy business travel, creating a wellbeing policy, and digital detox.
While the safety of travellers has inevitably been at the front of buyers’ minds, other duty-of-care issues are also bubbling to the surface, including the health and wellbeing of travelling employees and what companies can do to help improve this often neglected side of corporate travel.
There is much talk in the industry about what various travel companies are offering to the corporates when it come to their travellers’ wellbeing, but to date there has not been a dedicated event offering a comprehensive overview of areas that need to be considered and understood in the business travel sector.
The conference is being organised in partnership with Amber Road, with The Business Travel Magazine as the media partner, and is supported by key industry suppliers including Virgin Atlantic Airways, South West Trains, etc venues, ANA All Nippon Airways and Melia Hotels & Resorts.
The conference takes place at the etc Venue, 133 Houndsditch, London on Tuesday 9th April
David Clare, Managing Director of The Business Travel Network, one of the event organisers said “There is definitely a need for companies to be more aware of what they need to be doing when it comes to the wellbeing of their employees.
“Having experienced my own issues with mental health I know at first hand the effects it can have on an individual and their families. I am really excited to have the Business Travel Wellbeing Conference as my first event since launching my own company and am grateful to those partners who have willingly agreed to support the event”
Clive Wratten, CEO of Amber Road, says: “It’s crucial for companies right across the business travel supply chain to understand their responsibilities, and recognise the high importance that business travellers and their employers now place on their wellbeing. The Conference will comprehensively address this, and Amber Road is pleased to make this important event happen.”
Delegate places will go on sale next week.
